I want to congratulate the new year of our Persian calendar to all lovely bloggers in this site and also those who read Teenager magazine and specially congratulate to you Ms. Alibakhshi and your colleagues for your attempts to boost our knowledge in English. I hope you always be the top of all English magazines. You can count on our help. Appreciate for everything….

Anyway, I put a story about chance in our life at bottom. Let’s pay attention to this story, It has a really useful point in it….

A young man wished to marry the farmer’s beautiful daughter. He went to the farmer to ask his permission. The man looked him over and said: ‘son, go stand out in that field. I’m going to release three bulls, one at a time. If you can catch the tail of any one of three bulls, you can marry my daughter.’

The young man stood in the pasture awaiting the first bull. The barn door opened and out ran the biggest and meanest-looking bull he had ever seen. He decided that one of the next bull had to be a better choice than this one, so he ran over to the side and let the bull pass through the pasture out the back gate.

The barn door opened again. Unbelievable, He had never seen anything so big and fierce in his life. It stood pawing the ground, grunting, slinging slobber as it eyed him. Whatever the next bull was like, it had to be a better choice than this one. He ran to the fence and let the ball pass through the pasture, out the back gate.

The door opened a third time. A smile came across his face. This was the weakest, scrawniest little bull he had ever seen. This one was his bull. As the bull came running by, he positioned himself just right and jumped at just the exact moment. He grabbed……………. But the bull had no tail !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is full of opportunities. Some will be easy to take advantage of, some will be difficult. But once we let them pass. Often in hopes of something better, those opportunities may never again be available.

So always grab the first opportunity.

Qashqai_women_weaving_carpet

history of Turkish people that living in the south of Iran came back to 4200 BC ; to Sumerian ; ilamian; hurian and . . . then we cant say qashqaie people or Turkish people Seven century ago have came to Fars sate .

Now we can say we had a Turkish society in Fars of many year ago and then some people have added to that people . about the name of qashqaie every people says his opinion ; now but I must say qashqaie have made from two part qash + qayi in Turkish the word qash have many meaning but its common meaning is supporter for example to the place that we preserve our cattle we say qash or qashuq qash+uq in Turkish the suffix of uq show the meaning of place so qashuq (spoon) means as a piece that supports food until it arrive to our mouth and many other example . . . in before qayi tribe have made from three part sol qayi ( left qayi ) which they have made saljuq(saljuk) dynasty in iran and the other part sagh qayi ( right qayi ) that they was the core people of ottoman empire in turkey and the last part qashqayi (qashqaie) the central part that was the leader of other parts in war against enemies . . . so I must sat qashqaie meaning is the supporter qayi or leader qayi here I must say qayi tribe is described it is one of the oghuz tribes .

Now day qashqaie tribe with almost 4000.000 population lives in south of IRAN in Fars ; Isfahan ; Khuzestan ; kerman , and . . .

The language of qashqaie is 27th branch of mother Turkish language and we now teaching that in our houses to our childes . we before used Arabic alphabet but this time we know that Arabic alphabet are making many problem for our language and we must use latin alphabet instead of Arabic alphabet because we have 10 vowel in qashqaie Turkish but Arabic alphabet have just 6 vowel .

In qashqaie we have 5 big clan with name of amala ; kashkooli ; darashoori ; farsimadan ; sheshboluki .

‘When men first flew in space, they were amazed to discover that the only man-made object visible from orbit was the Great Wall of China.’ This is a nice idea, but it’s not true. The Great Wall is mostly grey landscape and, in fact, is very difficult to see even from an airplane flying at a mere 15 kilometers above. What can be seen when orbiting the earth (from about 200 kilometers up) are the fires of African desert people, and the lights of fishing boats off Japan; also, a very long wire fence in Western Australia which marks farmland on one side and desert on the other.

What is the world’s biggest office?

The Pentagon is the largest office in the world. This famous five-sided building, which is the US Department of Defense, was built in just 16 months during World War II, in Arlington, Virginia. It is designed to hold up to 40,000 people. It has 28 kilometers of corridors, 7,754 windows, 284 bathrooms, and parking space for 8,770 cars. 17,000 meals a day are served in its restaurants.

Why do they drive on the left in Britain and on the right in other countries?

The reason for this goes back to the days when people travelled by horse. Most people are right-handed, and thus the left is the natural side to ride on if you are on horseback and need your right hand to hold a sword in case of trouble. So why didn’t the rest of the world do the same? Because of Napoleon Bonaparte. He insisted that his armies marched on the right, and as he marched through Europe, he imposed this rule wherever he went. In the twentieth century Adolf Hitler did the same. Signs reading ‘Rechts fahren’ were put up whenever he took over a country. The question suggests that only the British drive on the left, but in fact, out of 178 countries in the world, there are about 50 that drive on the left, including Japan. However, most of them are former British colonies.

How clever are dolphins?

Dolphins do have fairly large brains. There are many stories, ancient and modern, about dolphins saving sailors from drowning. Ever since the film Flipper, we have all seen how clever they are at learning how to do tricks. However, the truth is that dolphins are no more intelligent than rats, which can also be trained to do tricks. The stories about them rescuing people are true, but they automatically rescue anything which is about the same size as themselves. Sometimes they kill sharks and then immediately try to rescue them.

The Statue was designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and the pedestal by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. After many delays (mostly due to financial challenges), the Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886; just ten years late for the Centennial celebration for which it was intended. The Statue of Liberty has become a symbol of freedom and democracy. Today, visitors visit the statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in the New York Harbor Island. Over the years, the Statue of Liberty’s symbolism has grown to include freedom and democracy as well as this international friendship.

Sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi was commissioned to design a sculpture with the year 1876 in mind for completion, to commemorate the centennial of the American Declaration of Independence. The Statue was a joint effort between America and France and it was agreed upon that the American people were supposed to build the pedestal, and the French people were responsible for the Statue and its assembly here in the United States.

A Robed Woman Holding Aloft A Torch

When Frederic Bartholdi unveiled his colossal sculpture of the Statue of Liberty in 1886, spectators wanted to know who the masculine-featured diva was that served as his model. What was the relation between this woman and liberty?

No one bothered to ask, “what does a white woman dressed in a robe, holding a book in one hand and a torch in the other hand have to do with liberty?” or “who is this colossal female figure and why did she deserve her own island, an altar, a national holiday, the ceremonial dedication of Presidents, the worship of millions and the spending of millions?” Some speculated that she was the Egyptian goddess Isis, Mary Magdalene or the Biblical Whore of Babylon.

ISIS

Isis or in original more likely Aset (Ancient Greek) was a goddess in Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs, whose worship spread throughout the Gerco-Roman world. She was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife as well as the matron of nature and magic.

For almost three thousand five hundred years, Isis remained the principle goddess of Egypt. She married her brother Osiris and gave birth to their son Horus. These three gods – Isis, Osiris and Horus dominated ancient Egyptian culture. Their story embraces all of the theatrics of a Shakespearian tragedy. Once upon a time…an ancient Egyptian King named Osiris (Assur) ruled as the first King of the first kingdom on Earth. His evil brother, Seth, and a group of co-conspirators murdered King Osiris, then castrated him and scattered pieces of his dismembered phallus into the Nile River.

Isis wandered the banks of the Nile by night, “torch in hand”, searching for the remains of her husband. She gathered up the scattered parts and put them back together again. By conjuring up her magic powers, Isis res-erected Osiris from the dead and copulated with him. From that union, she gave birth to their son, Horus (Heru). Osiris became King of Heaven, Lord of the Underworld and Judge of the Dead. The dead must answer to him for their deeds and misdeeds on Earth. Isis became Queen of Heaven and Mother of God.

The name Paris is thought to originate from ‘Par-Isis’ meaning ‘the Grove of Isis’. The city’s oldest church St. Germain-des-Prés, built in AD 542, was constructed over a former temple of Isis and displays a black statue called the Virgin Mary. Prior to 1514, the statue was worshipped as the goddess Isis. Many of the Black Madonnas were originally statues of Isis including the famed Black Virgin of Notre Dame du Puy. Until Christianity replaced Isis with Mary, she was the patron goddess of Paris.

Freemasonry

Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that arose from obscure origins in the late 16th to early 17th century. Freemasonry now exists in various forms all over the world, with a membership estimated at around six million, including approximately 150,000 under the jurisdictions of the Grand Lodge of Scotland and Grand Lodge of Ireland, over a quarter of a million under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of England and just under two million in the United States.

Many Islamic anti-Masonic arguments are closely tied to both Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism, though other criticisms are made such as linking Freemasonry to Dajjal. Some Muslim anti-Masons argue that Freemasonry promotes the interests of the jews around the world and that one of its aims is to rebuild the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem after destroying the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It’s so obvious that they don’t believe God, Satan is what they worship. Their aim and activities is absolutely against human being and toward darkness.

The Statue Of Liberty And Freemasonry

As you see; the statue of liberty has a torch in her hand as if ISIS had, searching for her husband. Her dress is “a robed woman holding aloft a torch,” completely alike ancient Egyptian women.

The Statue of Liberty was conceived by Freemasons, financed by Freemasons, built by Freemasons and installed by Freemasons in Freemasonic ceremonies. The ritualistic presentation made by the French Grand Orient Temple Masons to the Masons of America was a celebration of the centenary of the Masonic Republics of France and America.

The secret system of Free Masonry was originally founded on the Mysteries of the Egyptian Isis”. Her importance is enshrined today in the magnificent temple built by the Ancient Egyptians on the island of Philae and restored at great cost by UNESCO. Inscribed inside the temple are the words, “I, Isis, am all that has been, that is or shall be; No mortal man hath ever me unveiled. The fruit which I have brought forth is the ‘SUN’.” Metaphorically speaking, Isis is the celestial mother of the Sun (son) of god. When the word ‘Mason’ is broken into two parts, “Ma/Son”, it means “Mother Sun”.

Freemasonry And Liberty!

If you look up the word liberty in dictionary, it means: the freedom and the right to do whatever you want without asking permission or being afraid of authority. While, the brotherhood of Freemasonry was a “no women allowed” organization. Presence of women on Liberty Island at the dedication ceremony was strictly forbidden. An exception was made for two women who were given special permission to set foot on the island that day. One was Bartholdi’s wife and the other was the colossal mystery woman with copper skin.

Maria, Mary, and Maryam these are all the same. If you look these up you can see: Mother of Jesus (Virgin Mary, St. Mary).
As we all know this great lady who showed the world one of the most impressive miracles is one of the forth outrank women of heaven. It is blindingly obvious the one who reaches to this rank is special and so holy and blessed.
One day one of my friends told me: “what a shame that this name is on a person like you. You really do not deserve even to be called by this name.”
He was angry at me because he decided to be. He could have chosen peace, but he didn’t. You know why??? Because there are always things we can’t see. Judging according to our own limited point of view easily results into a decision which shouldn’t be made. Actually I’ve never claimed I am like her. It wasn’t her name which made her a great slave. She was reunited to the unique source of the world and it was not because of her name. Name is what we call each other only. Like when an eagle is borne whatever you name it, no matter. It is still an eagle.
But I do believe good names are really motivating. It’s not only about names. It’s about words. They’ve got powers. Don’t underestimate their stirring effect on your every moment life.
So maybe a name like Maryam can help the one like me to watch herself to be a better one. Exactly like the great desires of flying high in the sky going through a chicken’s mind by calling it “eagle”!!!!!!

Have you seen this serial “Lost”? If not, I suggest you watching it, an adventurous serial full of mysterious things and events. The story starts on board, on a plane leading to L.A. After the plane crashes, survived people who are completely strangers help each other to keep up with that misfortune. This story includes people with flashbacks of their life story, this is the beginning but from almost the half everything gets more complicated because of flash forwards. You may get a little confused with timing. This mysterious movie doesn’t reveal anything except on its best time. And sometimes it really keeps you in the dark and you cannot wait to see what will happen or wait to see what the reason of the things occur is. At the beginning everyone is hopeful to be rescued from that bloody island which their plane is crashed on. But as time goes on everyone convinces there will be no rescue. This makes them stick to each other and be friends. The note is the plane doesn’t crash but it is crashed by a great power of a magnetic source on the island. The island has many strange unexpected and sometimes scary and sudden events for characters of the story. Although some might disagree with me, I think this serial is highly spiritual and instructive. Any character has a great instructional note behind it. Everyone is in struggle with life and with herself/himself, making a choice which defines the end, a choice between good and bad, right and wrong, going on and giving up, responsibility and irresponsibility, own benefits and others’, dedicating and being uncaring …
I think getting lost in that island is not the only reason that this movie is named “Lost”. All these people are somehow lost in a hardship that they made it so annoying for themselves in their own individual life. When they are lost in the island they go through what bothers them the most. And they all come to a good conclusion…
My own favorite character is Jack. A spinal surgeon who appears to be a great leader and a really reliable person to count on from the beginning. He is the one who almost always makes right decisions. As a doctor and as a human being he does great I think. To be honest he made me feel jealous and feel how useful and helpful one can be and how useless I am doing through my life. I was depressed for a few days anyway!!
This great serial was criticized as an anti-Islamic movie in our own country. I don’t know why some people think the name “Islam” is important. It’s not the name “Islam” which is important, what it asks us to be is significant. They say this serial question the resurrection day but I don’t think so. I don’t like to say the end of the story for those who haven’t seen it yet. Anyway I was told the end of the story before watching it and I wondered that end would be nonsense unless the dialogs had something really meaningful to say. And I think I was completely right because it does.
It would be a nice idea to share our ideas about this serial. As we all know everyone has his/her own point of view. It’s good to know other viewpoints.

Blessings for you all!

It was like something out of an old film with cops and robbers, when Humphrey Murdoch, 37, went into the bank robbing business.

He stormed into a bank at Middleton, Virginia, and took more than 3000 dollars. But he did not get very far because the funny part of the story started at this moment. Funny for others, perhaps. Murdoch himself did not understand what was so funny about it.

The bank clerks and the customers were not frightened at all when they saw Murdoch. Instead they followed him into the street. Murdoch ran for ten minutes or so, but then he began to feel tired and jumped into a parked car with a man at the steering wheel. Murdoch said: “Let’s go, you see this gun, don’t you?” He held the gun under the driver’s nose.

The driver looked at him, replying: “Do you see this gun?” and pulling out a .38 police revolver.

Murdoch had jumped into the car of John Raeburn, a police officer.

Tonight I can’t see you and that’s my problem. I wanna see you but I can’t. Because you are so close to me, you are so so near to me that I can’t see you, but I can feel you. You are in my heart, you are in my heart.

That’s been a long time devil took my heart, but you didn’t break up our friendship. You are in my heart with a little space and with this little space I can feel how big you are, how big.

Tonight I wanna cry, but my eyes don’t let me to cry. They say if you are sorry of what you have done in your whole life, you wanna turn back, if your eyes don’t let you to cry, it’s useless, stop trying, Go straight to hell. They say this world doesn’t deserve living. They say KiLl YoUrSeLf. They always bother me. You know they are always whispering in my left ear. I can’t get rid of them. They tell me they would never leave me alone. It’s not too bad, let them be there. They don’t know I have still your voice in my right ear and it’s reviving me.

Just tonight let me cry. Let my tears come to my lips and let my lips tell you how much I love you, how much I miss you. Just tonight let me cry. You are always near to me, you know how much I am lonely, I wanna cry for you in my loneliness, but you always send people to me to not cry for you, Bcoz you can’t tolerate seeing my tears. How can you tolerate, you are my master, you are the only thing I think about when I’m alone. I wanna B always Alone.

You are the only person who listens to my words in silence. You are the only person who I can trust. You are the only person who Don’t ask me to change, you expect me to change sometimes and love me for whom I am. You are the only person who will Never leave me. You are the only person who won’t forget me. You are the only person who will never break my heart. You are the only true friend for me and too much for me.

Hey guys, all my dear friends. So long no visit.

Sorry, it’s my fault. I hope I can join you actively in summer.

Here is a short writing, I present it to you all. Sorry I couldn’t pay enough time on it, my apologies if it’s not that much good. I hope you like it:

” Slow down,

Put your luggage aside,

Wait for a while,

Why are you so in hurry?!,

Let’s wait,

And take a look,

What you see around?

The destination is important,

But it doesn’t mean to lose the beauties of the way,

So let’s wait,

And take a look around,

You know?!

LIFE IS NICE,

Although sometimes applies pressure highly,

But nothing is permanent,

Many things fade away,

And that’s time’s favor,

Really fare and just,

Goes exactly the same for everyone,

It flies for everybody,

And that’s why I always say

TIME IS ONE ONE MY BEST FRIENDS.

So let’s wait,

And take a look around,

Don’t lose the beauties,

Take deep breathes every time and as many as you can,

By this help the time wash away bad experiences,

And help yourself to see beauties better,

….

And once again I say:

Time is one of my best friends!”

Regards

Mary

y definite love by words, they don’t know they can’t limit love.

For him who didn’t believe in true love, it happened, yes it happened. In his whole life, he didn’t want to fall in love. At first he just thought about friendship, after a while he…….. You know they say every friendship leads to love. And yes do you think love just brings happiness, it pains. They say When you love you get hurt, when you get hurt you hate, when you hate you try to forget, when you try to forget you start missing, when you start missing you fall in love again!! How weird is it, how weird!

At first it was fantastic; they had good moments with each other. Until one day, a gloomy day came, arguments were started, then it’s when you get hurt, but he loved her. She never understood that, she told him our friendship must be logical, his tongues can’t tell her that I love you, can love be logical? How can love be logical, his mind didn’t work anymore, he acted as his heart ordered. She broke up their friendship, without regard, without sense. She left him alone, and lonely. She said goodbye, how easy she told and expected him to say goodbye too. She doesn’t know it’s easy to say goodbye but too hard to forget. Why? Because loves is more than words can say, once you’ve fallen you can’t help but fall over and over again… so even if goodbyes have been said… there’s something in the heart that say’s “please stay”. Why? It’s love and the reason is unknown… despite the pain and the heartaches…love will always retain its pride… its sweetness… its mystery. And then He started missing, better to say falling in love again; worse.

Do You Know What Hurts The Most . . . ? It’s When you Had Made Someone Feel Special Yesterday and The Same Person Today Claiming you To Be The Most Unwanted Person. you don’t know why but you are still loving when you know you’re never going to hug h………….. again. His thought was killing him; She put me through hell. All the wasted nights, All the tears. She played me and left. She found someone new. She was happy without me. But, the worst thing, I couldn’t stop thinking about her and I still loved her……..

“To see your beautiful smile, I will cross a border; I will fly like a bird, As it is my heart’s order. My eyes are restless” He went to find her he thought they can be good couple, thinking of light future. He arrived to her city, bad feeling was killing him, after 7 days in a strange city, eventually he found her house, with such a enthusiasm, finally he saw her. between crowd, he went through crowds, got closer, closer, and closer to the girl, stared at her for a minute, but she didn’t see him, how happy she was, and how beautiful she was in her wEdDiNg dress……….

he just wished just once she could understand how he felt……..!

<del>“Sick of crying..</del>

<del>Tired of trying..

Yeah!..I’m smiling..

But inside I’m dying..!!

Sometimes my eyes hurt when I cry…

I was checking my diary and my good days; I thought it’s better to share my experience with you guys.

After my first conversation with grandpa, I decided to change, and then lots of new questions came into my mind. I went to see my grandpa once again to get my answers from him.

After a week, on a sunny day I went to a village he lived. Like always and as I expected he was in garden near his trees; looked like he was talking to them, I didn’t want to disturb him, so I waited about thirty minutes in a corner, then I got closer and after a warm greeting I started my conversation:

You know grandpa, I thought a lot about what you told me, I guess I need your help again

That’s great you thought about my words, let me know what you want to know, darling

I accept everything you tell me, but honestly can I have a new beginning? Can I do it?

Look honey, the beginning is the most important part of the work, you don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step, just a single step. Whatever you do or dream you can do – begin it. Don’t think about distance. The distance is nothing; it’s only the first step that is difficult. And always remember it that you will never win if you never begin.

But grandpa, I’m afraid, I’m afraid of failure

If you listen to your fears, you will die never knowing what a great person you might have been. And about failure; Failure teaches success. I was never afraid of failure, for I would sooner fail than not be among the best. There is no failure except in no longer trying. The most successful people have failed the most. You know what Thomas Edison said after lots of his experiments; I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.

Ok grandpa, what should I do now?

You need to change; you cannot become what you need to by remaining what you are. You told me life is not beautiful remember? Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. Change your thoughts and you can change the world. To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly. What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself. To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often. And whenever you fall, pick something up.

You are right grandpa, I will do it. I must change my thoughts about everything; god, nature, people…

Wait sweetheart first thing first. First of all are you; before a man can wake up and find himself famous he has to wake up and find himself. You must love and care for yourself, because that’s when the best comes out. Self-knowledge is the beginning of self-improvement. You never find yourself until you face the truth. Don’t afraid of space between dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so. Trust yourself; you know more than you think you do.

That was the second time I went to see him and I learned a lot; I’ve learned to trust myself, to listen to truth, to not be afraid of it and to not try and hide it.

To be able to live a successful and fruitful life, the first thing you need to do is to ask yourself this question, “What does success mean to you?” You see, everybody has a different definition of success. Success for one individual does not mean the same thing to another individual. Therefore, in order to be able to succeed in life, you must be clear in your mind and in your vision what success is?

You can’t succeed alone. Every story of success is a story of people working together, each contributing their own unique talents, skill sets and abilities. Do what you do best. And let others fill in the gaps.

Perseverance always wins. You can’t fail if you don’t quit. Find yet another way to make it work. Whatever “it” is for you. As Winston Churchill said in Britain’s darkest hour, “Never, never, never give up.”

Take time from your business every day — even if it’s only 10 or 15 minutes — to center yourself. Some call it meditation. It’ll make you more effective and you’ll accomplish much more.

If you don’t like where you are today, don’t expect tomorrow to be any different without change. Change your attitude, your priorities, your activities. Change from being reactive to being creative.

You are a product of your thoughts. It’s true that “thoughts are things.” Whatever you think about most of the time is what you create in your life. Hint: If you want more than you think you have now, don’t “ever” give energy to thoughts of lack.

You always receive what you give. Consequently, if you want help, be helpful. If you want honest relationships, be truthful. If you want success, help others get what they want. If you want love, be loving. The corollary is that you always find what you’re looking for.

Life “really” is like a movie. You write the script. You’re the star, director and critic. And like a movie, it ends. What’s important in life is not just the journey, but the “quality” of the journey. That’s why it’s important to make “every” day the best it can be, because “now” is all you have.

best wishes for all of you

Aerial photography is the taking of photographs of the ground from an elevated position. These 25 pictures are captured by YANN ARTHUS BERTRAND. I think that he’s one of the bests in this field of photography.

About YANN ARTHUS BERTRAND

Born in Paris, France on March 13, 1946, Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a world-renowned photographer specializing in aerial photography. He didn’t fully realize his talents as a photographer until he was older (early thirties), spending three years in the late 70s, in Kenya living with the Massai tribe and studying the behaviour of a pride of lions. He thus discovered a new passion for photography and the beauty of landscapes when observed from above in hot air balloons. He understood the power of a picture and how to communicate using this means.

Upon his return to France, he published in 1981 his first book Lions, first release of a series of 80 books. He also began a career as a reporter-photographer and closely worked with various naturalists including Dian Fossey and her mountain gorillas in Rwanda. His work was published in many internationally known magazines such as Paris Match, Geo, Life or National Geographic. In 1991, Yann created Altitude, the first photo agency specialized in aerial photography.

In the 90s, under the patronage of UNESCO, Yann embarked upon his most ambitious project: creating an image bank of the Earth seen from above. Yann’s aim was to create a record of the world’s environment for present and future generations. In 1999, his work was published and The Earth from Above, translated in 24 languages, became one of the best selling illustrated books with more than three million copies sold worldwide. The Earth from Above is also an open-air free access exhibition that travels in more than 100 cities around the world and has attracted to this date over 100 million visitors. But it is still a work in progress. Many countries remain to be visited, and geographical coordinates of every shot will allow other photographers and scientists to locate and document the evolution of these sites.

In 2005 Yann Arthus-Bertrand created GoodPlanet, a non-profit organization which is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable development, his leitmotiv, through all his different projects. Yann would like to enable each and every one of us to become a custodian of our planet’s future and consequently of our own future. He also directed a series of four, two hour documentaries entitled Earth From Above – which was shown on French television in 2006-2007 –, and started this year the production of a feature length film on the state of the global environment and the challenges we are facing.

That was many years ago, when I was about nineteen years old. I was young and immature girl. That was really hard days for me. I was bored of life, people, and nature. I was completely depressed and even one time I tried to kill myself, with a razor. That was the foolish thing I have done in my life. Fortunately I survived and had another chance to make a decision. My parents always didn’t understand me. But suddenly I decided to go to grandpa’s house and visit him. In the early morning, I dressed and went to the village where my grandpa lived. I remember that day obviously. When I arrived there, grandpa was in the garden, soaking flowers and watching trees. He was in his garden most often. “Hi grandpa” I shouted because he couldn’t hear very well. When he saw me, became so happy. I said hi so coldly. After walking in silence he said “Why are you depressed?” He always knew how I felt, I couldn’t deceive him. So I started my talking.

Life is so difficult for me

In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity, my darling.

What is life Grandpa?

Life is like a mirror, we get the best results when we smile at it. Think in a good way to have a good life.

I failed, my life was a failure

Don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t waste energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. It’s OK. If you’re not failing, you’re not growing. When one door closes, another opens, but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

Nothing seems beautiful for me

Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.

Nothing makes me happy, nothing

My darling, Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars… and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers – for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.

But they are just trees and grass, nothing more Grandpa

Don’t talk like that, Knowing trees, you understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, you can appreciate persistence.

You are right Grandpa, I wish I could go back and change everything I did.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

That was the biggest lesson I learned in my life. Nature constantly offers us simple pleasures to love. Opening ourselves up to the beauty around us is a way to bring more happiness and peace in our lives. Now I’m thirty years old mature lady. After that day, I went to see my grandpa often to get some advice from him.
